For Sale: ResMed S8 AutoSet Device

Post by RESPIRATOR » Thu Feb 28, 2013 9:16 pm

Hello everyone,
I would like to sell my spare ResMed S8 AutoSet Machine -machine+humidifier- (slightly used, 100 hours) for $250. If you are interested, please, post here.
This machine has less than 100 hours of use so I guess it is a fair deal. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks for reading!
Kind regards.

Used S9 Autosets go for $350 to $400. I've sold new S9 Autosets for $475. My advise would be to adjust your price to about $250 if you want to sell it here, or list on Craigslist and hope for an uninformed buyer.

I paid $150 for my S8 AutoSet II (Craigslist) and $70 separately for the humidifier (Secondwind).

Don't feel bad about resale value, it's the way of the world. My car had a sticker price of $40,000 five years ago and latest data is that it is worth about 18% of that after 5 years, or $7,200. And mileage doesn't even come into the equation. Kind of like cpap machines.

But all I did was 'drive it out the door', is a common moan.

Yes, I am finding out that the retail prices has nothing to do with the secondary market price. I guess, I will sell it for much less.
Thanks!

Hello,

I am interesting in buying this machine, but I have a few questions. I'm planning on using it without the humidifier as a travel machine, so I would need a standard cord with no power brick. Is that what this comes with? Also could you tell me the model name and when it was manufactured?

A group of machines manufactured before 2007 was recalled by ResMed. Let me know and I will send you my email address.

The ResMed S8 series does not have a power brick. Just a simple cord.

And I'm reasonably sure the the S8 series was introduced after 2007.

Wondering how much would a PR system one bipap auto (~100 hours) worth here?
