Pilairo Nasal Pillow Short Hose "Sticking"

Post by AICPlanner » Mon Mar 04, 2013 2:12 pm

Been using my Pilairo Nasal Pillow for almost a month now and seem to be doing OK.

My issue is the 'short hose' lately does not want to swing freely when I turn or move through the night. Examining it yielded nothing stuck inside it and I am good about cleaning it. The hose won't move from side to side with out sticking briefly. Almost like it needs to be lubricated. This was not the case when I first got the device.

Anyone else have this issue?

Add a drop or two of olive oil to the junction where it seems to be sticking.
I haven't heard of this issue with the Pilairo but some of the other masks have squeaking sounds with movement and a bit of olive oil helps.

The pilairo should move around freely, it's a great little mask. If you're having troubles with it I definitely would get in contact with where you bought it. Masks should have a 3 month warranty (well they do here) and the fisher and paykel representatives are great.

I used the tiniest bit of mineral oil to free up a sticky swivel on one of my masks a while back. Can't remember which one.

Unlike olive or other vegetable oils, mineral oil will not become rancid.
