onset apneas
I have a young patient, while in stage 1 and 2 he had several obstructive and central apneas but when in stage 3 he quit having events. Do I still put him on cpap?

While in stage 3 most patients don't show events. I'd say follow your lab protocol. But if their AHI is high in 1,2 and or REM then yeah I'd split them but like I said, follow lab protocol.

I don't know whether you're talking about in a sleep lab setting or afterwards for therapy, but I think this would be up to a sleep doctor and not a "tech" in a sleep lab.newsleeptech wrote:I have a young patient, while in stage 1 and 2 he had several obstructive and central apneas but when in stage 3 he quit having events.
