NEWBIE NEEDS HELP

Post by JOEBASS » Wed Feb 27, 2013 8:22 pm

Hi all, I have a Remstar Auto A-Flex with a memory card in the back of the unit. My first visit after using the machine for 2 weeks was very interesting to me and want to be able to print out my own report.

Can someone here point me to the right program to download.
I think this report should be available to the individual and not need to make another appointment.

Thanks
Joe

In a lot of members signature lines there is a link for sleepyhead software that will work with your machine. Keep posting and everyone here will be glad to help

Can you tell me the exact model number that you see on the bottom of the blower using 550 or 560.

You can use EncoreBasic.

Look in Uncle Bob's signature line
memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=38643
Be sure to read the Help section because it tells you how to use the software.

EncoreGuide link this will show you examples of what you will see. For a different machine than yours but the basics are the same.

You can also use SleepyHead you will need to do the Patch file for it if the machine is a 560 series.

If it's a 550 you don't have do the patch file.

Look in my signature like for PR S1 software options and examples of the reports to get an idea about what you can see.
SleepyHead download link in my signature line...the Patch link look in the thread above.

Thanks for the replies!!

I had a horrible night with leakage, felt like cold air blowing in the corner of my eye. Ended up tossing the mask on the floor.
on the bottom of my machine it says 561ca.
thanks again, not giving up yet, gonna try again tonight!!!

The 61 part of your model number means you have a 60 series machine.

The humidifier you have chosen in your profile is incorrect. In the equipment menu for the humidifier you need to look for the grouping that begins with PR System One 60 series with heated hose....

The machine you would be choosing would be the PR System One 60 series Auto CPAP machine.

Just look for the grouping that begins with PR System One to find those selection choices.

You can use Sleepyhead but you need the Patch file that I mentioned in previous post.
You can also use EncoreBasic which is also mentioned above.

Mask fit and leaks are the hardest part to this therapy. Don't be afraid to go back to your DME and maybe try a different mask.
Often there is a 30 day window where you can swap out masks to see if another one works better.
Don't use up all your 30 days on a mask that may not work for you. You can always come back to it if you want to.

Joe, the long way to be sure you get the reports from the doctor is to fill out a Release of Information form listing the dates and what information you want. Sometimes you can call the office and a helpful person will mail them to you, but the ROI is usually surefire. The best idea is to get the software for yourself as you decided.
Good luck,
Mary
PS: Downloading your own reports is a lot of fun!

For mask leaks a lot of people use a dab of stuff called Lansinoh (made from sheep's lanolin), which comes in a tube and is typically used by nursing mothers. A slight film is applied to the area where the mask touches the face, this is very effective for sealing in the pressurized air. Search past threads for Lansinoh. Buy it at Walgreens or online.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
