Question on how to get info off sd card

Post by BrianV » Wed Feb 27, 2013 11:31 am

Hi all!
I downloaded the Rescan software and would like to get the info off my SD card. My concern is I don't want to corrupt the card. If I use a universal card reader will cause a problems. Thanks for any help.

No, any reader will do. There is no special ResMed SD reader.

If you want to be absolutely sure, slide the little lever on the side of the card to the locked position before you insert it into your reader. If you do that and don't shuffle your feet on the carpet for 15 minutes to build up a huge static charge before handling the card, you shouldn't have any problems.

Ditto what the Otter said. Just don't forget to slide that little tab on the SD card back into the Unlock position before putting it back into CPAP. (Been there, done that ). And it wouldn't hurt to watch the display on the CPAP when you put the card back in to be sure that it's reading the card.

Yeah, always do that.

Also, after you take the card out, unplug your machine (or turn off the surge suppressor it really should be plugged into). Then, when you plug it back in, the screen will warn you if you forgot to put the card back in. Note that just powering the machine down isn't enough. That puts it into sleep mode, and an S9 won't warn you there is no card when it wakes up. It only tells you the card is missing when it boots.

Thanks guys, I was able to successfully get the report. Just don't understand all the info in the graphs. From what I can see I think it looks good.

It works. Report looks great. Overall averages for several days and all look good.

Check out my signature line for the SleepyHead Glossary. The terminology that we built that glossary from was the terminology seen on the ResMed and Respironics software reports.
