Provent

Post by debbiep54 » Sun Feb 24, 2013 4:06 pm

Any one heard of Provent? It is a vented pad put over the nostril and creates the same type pressure as the CPAP machine. No machine, no hoses, and no mask! Then again, it needs a prescription and I am wondering about the validity of its needing a script w/ no control or if a DR. would even consider such a thing. here is a link to it.

Check out the above thread or do a search of the forum for Provent discussions and you will find a few people who have tried it.

Doesn't sound like something for a person w/ severe sleep apnea. Besides, I am still like a child w/ my machine and just hope to get it right. One day I may even feel like I could not live w/out my machine, unfortunately, not at this time.

I have been on the machine for nearly 4 years...not sure it would be for me either...that exhale thing might be hard for me to take.
Maybe it isn't as difficult as it sounds.

I am curious but not curious enough to spend my money.

Just thinking about these things makes my nose itch.
