Help sinus infection

Post by Roxy » Sat Feb 23, 2013 2:27 pm

I have had sinus infections since November. After 2 ct scans and non invassive treatment, I am facing sinus surgery. The past month, I have had great difficulty using cpap because I am coughing so much that I constantly have to take the mask off. Any suggestions

If you are coughing due to the drainage...I suggest using a Neti Pot. I use it yearly when my seasonal allergies kick in during spring. This will help reduce swelling and drainage. You can also improve your immune system by taking some Echinecea. Both item can be bought at a local drug store. BTW, Use only boiled water or distilled water for the Neti Pot.

I use the nasal rinse twice a day in distilled water. I have been under treatment of an ENT. I am now taking antibiotics, advair, prednisone, musinex, decongestant and prescription liquid form antibiotic, steroid and chelation medication to add to the nasal rinse. I continue to have a ton of post nasal drip which is making it almost impossible to use the mask
