For Sale: IntelliPAP AutoAdjust CPAP by Devilbiss

Post by SleeplessInNyack » Thu Jan 31, 2013 4:05 pm

I am selling an IntelliPAP AutoAdjust CPAP, with humidifier, with data module/software, hose, and travel case.
I've had it several years, but used it for a total of 663 hours. It's been in a clean environment, no smoke, no pets, and lightly used.

I'm asking $300; (This combo sells new for $595 ($490 machine + $55 humidifier + $50 module&software))
https://www.cpap.com/cpap-machine/devil ... tflex.html

Also a Swift LT mask, lightly used, I'm asking $60, Normally sells $121.00
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... dgear.html

Also, Puritan Bennett Breeze SleepGear mask. (over the head, no sides), barely used. I'm asking $40 Normally sells $80.00
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/purita ... rface.html

I'd like to sell all of the above, reasonable offers accepted
Please PM if interested.

Essentially, I'd like to receive 50% of the new prices - any reasonable offer accepted; my preference is to sell all at once.

Thanks

Buyers are usually interested in how many blower hours are on the machine. If you can, post a photo of the screen showing that info; if you can't get a photo, you could at least edit your original post to include it. Also whether it comes from a pet free and/or smoke free home.

It might help you to sell it.

Thanks for the tips - I edited the original post, 663 hours, smoke free and pet free. (Either would give me allergies and asthma).

Photo can be made available later when I'm home.

Thanks

I'd like to see if there's interest in the whole combo before I split it up.

How did you get away from cpap?

I got treated for GERD (acid), and now I sleep through the night.

Sleep Labs will tell you you have apnea, but they can't tell you apnea is definitely why you wake up.
I personally don't believe in "labs" that always result in the same diagnosis and prognosis: you have apnea, you need cpap. That may be correct for some (or many), but not in my case.

Kind of like a carpenter always thinks the problem can be fixed with a hammer, huh?

While you were using the machine, what was your AHI and how did you feel the next day? What was the pressure range? Did the set pressure change during the night?
I would appreciate your inputs on the above because some people of this Forum doubt whether I (also) really have apnea and I am also a bit confused with the behavior of the therapy pressure.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not the person to ask those questions, many on this board are experts. My experience was I tried my prescribed pressure, much lower pressures, higher pressures, constant pressure, auto adjust with a tight range, auto adjust with a large range. I never felt a moment of better sleep. In fact, when I would start to psychologically get comfortable using CPAP I started feeling weird physically. I was just better off waking up multiple times than sleeping with this thing. And then I had an endoscopy, saw that acid was tearing up my esophagus. I had no idea, but acid was going up there while I slept and I didn't feel it. Once I took a prescribed acid pill, I started sleeping better with less frequent wakeups. I think people may have all degrees of apnea, but it's not a guarantee that that is what is disturbing your sleep the most.

I might consider it if you'd reconsider about the module as a separate entity, but...?

Since 2009 - right after it won a challenge on this board, against the mirage I think. But it mostly sat on a shelf in that time. I realized someone could be using it instead of it wasting away. It 's a nice travel unit, comes with a travel case.
