[quote="roztom"]I might have read this before?
Those of you who have switched to the Activa have your AHI numbers changed?
My numbers have jumped up, almost doubled !! from around 2.0 to 4.0+
That's quite a difference. While I'm leaking less I've had some bad nights and have felt crummy.
It may be a coincidence but that much abrubt change has me wondering.
HAs anyone else had that experience with the Activa?

I had a similar experience this past two weeks. I am seeing higher apneas and hyponeas with the activa on my Vantage. When I switch to PB 420 e, it is a whole different story. This week, the Vantage gave an AI of 2 or over and a AHI" of 9 or higher. The two days I used the PB, I had AI of 1.3 and hypop of 3.3. average. Now.....both machines had been lower before activa. So, how do I feel, you say. I feel fine, thank you. However, I love the Activa in that I feel I can do no adjusting. Both leak rates were under .3. I do not want to get worse little by little, however, and am considering going back to breeze and swift even though I adjust all night. It must be one of those mysteries, I guess.
Activa Mask & AHI
Last night my AHI dropped backed to 1.7 but since I started the Activa my AHI has gone where, at least for me, no AHI has gone before.
Court is still out on the mask though it has the lowest leak rate and allows me to sleep on my side. even on my stomach.
It's possible that my AHI has been coming from the different sleep positions where before with the UM nasal or the Swift I always had to sleep on my back.
I guess I'll just have to give it more time but the abrupt change in numbers plus feeling like I was run over was somewhat alarming.
Last night my AHI dropped to 1.7 better than the high 3 - 4's I have been having recently.
I doubt if this is responsible but I upped my HH from 2 to 3. I use a heated hose so it was getting border warmish to me but I felt my sinuses were much more open last night. My Snore Index dropped to 4.0 the previous day it was 30 - highest ever. I avg 6 usually.
I do appreciate from hearing if higher numbers are a reflection of this mask.
Also, I wonder if the pulsing of the cushion does anything to effect the air pressure and how the software interprets air flow ?

Mask Shopping
3 months = 3 masks.
The Activa is my most ocmfortable mask. I bet I could hang upside down and it wouldn't leak. It's a great seal.
I still have to get used to the pulsing - it is a little distracting but I like it.
I have the large - I can always use it as a small car port if I need to.
