Current list of fully data capable straight CPAP machines?

Post by plr66 » Wed Jan 30, 2013 5:26 pm

Apologies, as I haven't been here for a long time. My trusty PB420E just died, and I am sadly needing to update myself with what's available, as in my subject line. Being a faithful cpap.com customer, I was surprised that there does not seem to be a filter for finding the data capable machines. Can any of you direct me to what's on the list now? (And BTW--if you don't have a back-up machine as I thankfully have---consider it strongly!)
Thanks in advance.

DeVilbiss Intellipaps are really not really full data capable. Avoid if you want to be a data geek.

Thanks chunkyfrog (must be kin!)--This chart is dated Sept 2011, and very helpful. Is this the most recent list you or anyone knows of?
StuUnderPressure, I am needing just straight CPAP and not APAP, but thanks.

In the Maskarrayed list, the Philips Respironics DS450S model has been replaced with the DS460S. It is a data capable CPAP. The 560 is the APAP, and the 260 is a brick.

I have been using the 460 for about 5 months, with pretty good results.

Totally agree with Cosmo as you have to purchase an additional module and software to even see even halfway decent data that is still not as good as what is shown on the Respironics and Resmed Machines.

Thanks to each one of you for your suggestions/recommendations. I've been in touch with cpap.com this morning, and have gotten further info for fine-tuning the details. Appreciate the great help here, as usual!

Respironics still do not show your nightly data on the screen. Only averages.

Its annoying to have to download using the software but at least the software is freely available now.

For CPAP/APAP machines, the fully data capable models are:

ResMed S9 AutoSet
ResMed S9 Elite
Philips Respironics System One (PRS1) Auto
PRS1 Pro (may also say Auto IQ).

I don't think any other manufacturers' machines offer airflow waveform data, which is VERY valuable information, especially if you want to know more than just AHI count.

The PRS1 machines may be available in the "60 series" models that have an optional heated hose, or the older models that don't offer a heated hose. Both are good.

I think all S9 and PRS1 bilevel/BiPAP/VPAP machines give full data.
