Average Life for Respironics REMStar Plus units
Average Life for Respironics REMStar Plus units
Does anyone know the average life on the REMStar units? I have over 15K hours logged on mine, it seems to be still going strong. However, this is not the unit with the Data Card/Logging (pre C-Flex). I am seeing my physician in a few weeks to have it evaluated, but I was curious what others see.

Can't give you a direct comparison but I've had 2 of the Remstar Auto C-flex machines. First one did approx 10,000 hours then expired. The second has done similar time and is still going, though I only keep it now as a spare as I got a new machine in December. If I recall earlier threads, yours is probably towards the upper end of the average lifespan.

Just checked mine...14,552 blower hours! Guess I better start considering getting a new one to have on hand. (M Series Pro)
