Yeah, Ive gained 25 lbs in the last year. It definitely causes my mask to fit tighter and tighter and tighter. Right now Im around 250. Which is way too fat for me. But the thing is, Ive dropped as low as 204 and while fit/mask strap marks were better, there was still too much pressure. I think I'd need to get down to 190 lbs or so to get to where the straps were not bothering me.
Dropping a mask size would not work, unfortunately. My mouth would drop out of the mask if I went to a small.

My husband always used a Medium but was having significant leaking until we changed to a Small and now mask does not have to be clamped down and no leaks. I didn't think his facial contours had changed much over the years but they obviously did.

I didn't necessarily mean for you to drop a size, in my husband's case he had lost some weight, perhaps if you've gained weight you may need a larger size as you seem to describe. That may be your problem.

While it looks drastic, I've found that trying a mask I think will work, often does work, even if others think that mask is awful. We each have a feel for how our own bodies will react. If you think this will work for you, give it a try, it may be just what you need.
Good luck,
Jen

I'm about 15 days on the Mirage Quattro. I've woken up a few times with plugged ears, so hope that's just an oddity for now. It is tricky getting it tight enough to avoid leaks without being too tight. I still have red marks a few hours after wearing the mask. I didn't have leaks that I was aware of but marks on the forehead and nose, plus plugged ears, hmmm, still on the learning curve and looking for the happy medium.
