I got my flu shot, and just got over a cold. But none of that is Cosmo's fault, I don't think.

Human decency is a good thing, but a lack of it doesn't usually affect one's orbit in cpaptalk, I don't think. Did he actually do something, or do you just have some kind of sick crush on him?

Anti-trust police have their own trolls, and we don't usually have to help them enforce their regulations, so you can probably relax with that one.

BTW - Stay away from those flu vaccines, they always make you sick. I quit taking the flu shot like 6 years ago and never got it again, not even a cold. Actually it was 8 years ago (time flys).

I took the shot mostly just to be nice to the older people I work around, to make it less likely I'd give anything to them. But then all of them told me they don't take the shot themselves! I'll rethink it.

You should get one, especially if you work or live around elderly, the very young, or immune compromised people because you actually can have the flu and no (or only cold-like) symptoms. Just because others not protecting themselves is not a reason for you not to protect them. So there!

I just bought a new hose cozy.

I "made" mine out of some scraps of cloth and rubber-banded them around the part of my hose that's exposed to the air between the machine and the bed covers.

But, on the other subject..........
Let's cut "Cosmo" some slack.
It never hurts to have vastly different (extreme) opposing views on many subjects. As long as they're accompanied with civility and logic, it's good for new users to get an idea of what works for people with various amounts of experience with this therapy. In the end, they can then decide for themselves.

Even though I can afford some things (I put my savings into numerous backup CPAP machines for future use), I'm not ashamed to say that I'm a "recycler" and am always wondering how things can be reused. (drives my wife nuts sometimes)
I'm also a "K I S S" advocate.

Or to put it in politically correct terms ... I'm not going to put myself at risk so that others can feel protected.

If the flu vaccine actually works, then it makes no difference whether I get the vaccine or not or whether I get the flu or not. Let those who have the need to feel protected from the flu get the flu vaccine and if it works for them, why should they care what happens to me?

I have no use for such snake oil cuz I been there and done that. For years I faithfully took the annual flu vaccine and for years I suffered from upper respiratory infections on an almost every other month basis. When I stopped to test what a friend told me (to not take the flu shot), I stopped getting sick. I have not gotten sick ever since.
