How Many Different Sizes Mirage Activa Mask ?

Post by pratzert » Tue May 09, 2006 9:18 am

How many different "sizes" doe sthe Activa mask come in ?

I plan to order the "Standard" size.

Is it available in a "Small" size as well if the Standard is too large?

I have what I'd call an average face ( OK.... No wisecracks. )

I have read that you can buy just the cushion part in a different size, but I don't know what sizes they have. Their website is not very helpful in giving guidance for fitting the mask for size.

Thanks for any Info....

Tim

Per https://www.cpap.com

Standard
Large
Shallow

As one of our esteemed members, Ric, has said - Activa sizing is

WACKY!

at least per the https://www.cpap.com sizing tool.

I recommend you call cpap.com and ask for Becky. She is very knowlegable and patient.

She also has a good sense of humor.

I ordered my Activa thru cpap.com even though the sizng tool said "forget it."

I got the Large - I can almost park my car in it, LOL.

Great mask - doesn't leak - doesn't wake me up with leaks - it is a bit bigger and weighs a bit more than ohter nasal masks I've used but it is the best seal.

I give it a strong "thumbs up," remembering your results may vary.

Best,

Tom

How did you or Becky arrive at "LARGE"? Was the sizing tool involved in any way?

BTW, I emailed ResMed to ask if there was a "sizing tool", comparable to the template they offer for the UM-II. I indicated that I found the PDF file on "fitting the mask", but nothing on selecting the correct size. I got a reply yesterday that contained no narrative, just a PDF file attached, (care to guess?). It was the "fitting the mask" PDF. I guess that (indirectly) answers my actual question. Probably they don't.

I would speak to Becky,

as far as the size I got I have an Ultra Mirage and I have a large in that so we extrapolated...

My husband used the sizing tool for his activa and he got a large. It fits fine. So it worked for him.

Shallow dimensions vs. Standard

Can someone describe the difference between the shallow and the standard Activa ? Is the only difference the depth of the mask? I have a narrow nose bridge--does it fit the same across the bridge? I could use a narrower fit than my standard ACTIVA.

This one is working ok, but some nights I do have to fool with it to get the leaks under control.
