Hello from freezing cold Gunnison, Colorado. I am happy it is above zero today!
I recently received the small Elan cushion and have been able to sleep with it a few nights. But, I am having to tug at it some during the night, mostly because it feels like it is riding up on my nose a bit and I have to tug it down. I am trying to figure out if there is some adjustment I can make to the straps (withouth inviting a host of leaks!) that might accomplish this.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you,
Jill

Re: Sleepweaver Elan Question
Not sure if this will help, but I've found that my top straps need to be a little tighter than my bottom straps, and once I get them to the right tightness -- enough to just slip in a finger flat between the strap and my face -- then I never undo them. The only ones I undo each morning/night are the bottom ones, and they stay just a bit looser overnight than the top straps.
Also, if you don't already do this, once you get the mask on at night and the bottom straps tightened, give a tug on the little bitty 'flag' on the bottom of the cloth mask to help get the mask settled properly.
With all this, my leaks with the Elan have been pretty much zero from the beginning; I may have gotten lucky.
Hope some of that might help!

Re: Sleepweaver Elan Question
I had to reduce my EPR from 3 to 2. It made a difference.
It is also possible that your upper straps could stand to be a little looser than they are.
Air is what holds the mask in place. Do your adjustments lying down, under pressure.
Cloth requires an even looser fit than silicone.
My cushions are also a bit more manageable after they've been washed a couple of times;
in fact I usually wash after one night, 2 at most.

I have been using this mask for a couple months after using the Sleepweaver. I find this requires the lower straps to be adjusted more rather than the top ones. Good luck and keep trying.

Thank you, everyone, for the ideas. I will be trying again over the weekend!

Funny the way my machine no longer appears in my equipment when I post. Even though I have gone to my profile several times and it is still there.....Any ideas??

I think I remember someone here saying that the PAP Machines, Humidifiers, and Masks are all tied into product pages on the web site of our forum hosts CPAP.com. It could be that there has been some sort of a change to certain products and there is no longer a page for your machine to be represented by. If it is not that then it is most certainly the Aliens acting up again... those pesky Aliens!
