Peak Sleep

Post by B_4 » Thu Jan 17, 2013 9:37 am

My DME has been Peak Sleep for the past 2+ years and I have been very satisfied with them up until last night. I was informed that they will no longer carry or supply Resmed products. This is a significant issue for me so now I am shopping DMEs again.

Uhg. Does anyone know anything about Lincare? I am squared away, I just need my Resmed products to show up on time with the minimum amount of contact or effort on my part.

I have been a Lincare client for a long time with minimal problems, but have never asked for anything out of the ordinary. They mail order filters and such on their schedule, not mine, but would probably work with me on that.

Get a list of in-network providers from your insurance, then call them. (I know, --PITA)
If you are on Medicare, look for CONTRACTED providers.
If you are out of pocket, consider buying everything online, where the prices are SANE.

I have great insurance. Thanks for the feedback on Lincare.

Well the local Lincare contact was not professional and not helpful on the phone. Scratched them off of the list.

I called Preferred Homecare and they were great on the phone, answered all the right questions and could get me set up via email. Winner.

I will come back after a month or two and let everyone know how things went.

Your DME won't work with ResMed any more? That's like a Mexican restaurant saying it won't use tortillas any more.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
