EncoreBasic ver.2.0

Post by fishy » Sun Dec 30, 2012 7:41 pm

Does Encore Basic ver 2.0 work with series 60 machines? Also, I downloaded the SW and it looks like one could easily erase the data on the card by accident. I think this would be frowned upon by my insurance co. since I have not shown compliance yet. I tried using a camera to read the SD card but Win 7 installed the camera as a device and not a drive or removable media so I cannot read the card. I ordered a usb card reader from newegg and should get it tomorrow.

Yes, I use EncoreBasic with my Series 60. I am not much of a techie so if you have more computer questions other than this, hopefully someone will chime in. I love EB.

I am using version 2.1, so I don't know how much difference there is. Pugsy gave me the link to download 2.1

While there are features in Encore that will initialize a card (clear all existing data and format the card as blank), and also erase all data, there is a choice when downloading to select "Card is to be returned to same patient" that will preserve the existing data. With a reasonable amount of care, you shouldn't have any problem.
