Friend needs Remstar Auto Cflex

Post by wdjensen123 » Mon May 08, 2006 11:27 am

Hi All,

I have a friend looking for Remstar Auto C-flex since they never could not afford the sleep study. They like my report on this model.

I have been using mine for about 30 hours. It works great I think. It was pretty comfortable and easy to get used to. I have the respironics Comfortfull 2 mask. I had to tighten it up more since every time I woke up with a leaky mask, it was at 15 cm H2O or so. I try not to sleep without my mask no matter what. My spouse reports that I am not gasping for breaths and snoring at night.

I pretend I am an astronaut on a space mission. Soon I forget all about the whooshing noises and pressure on my face. At least at 8 cm H2O starting pressure. I read that I should go with the machine. I kind of dissociate out of the machine and that lets me get to sleep faster.

Sincerely,
Bill Jensen

All CPAP machines require a doctors prescription, they are considered medical devices. Perhaps your friend could go to the doctor and qualify for a home sleep test, but again, without a doctor's prescription, I don't think even that could be done.
