Travel: ZZZpap Auto Pap?

Post by jwpinkham » Sun Dec 23, 2012 10:36 am

I'm looking for a compact and lightweight xPap for an extended trip. I will be traveling very light with just one carry-on size bag.
My home unit is an old Remstar Plus with CFLEX. Too heavy and bulky . I'm considering getting an used ZZZpap Auto pap. The specs mention the weight of the unit, but don't disclose how much the power supply weighs. Anyone know? I will be carrying my bag a lot while traveling on buses and walking to hotels, so weight is very important. I recently had a large goiter removed which was pressing against my windpipe. I know I should have a new sleep study after the surgery, but thought that an APAP might get me through until I receive a new RX after my trip.

I've been also thinking about an used M Series BiPap Auto. It's lightweight and compact without the humidifier.

I don't want to invest too much in the travel xPap since I will be traveling 'rough' for about 3 months, with a fair possibility of having the unit, along with my bag and laptop stolen.

Any recommendations will be appreciated.
