Low Cost Bio-metric Monitoring

Post by retrodave15 » Thu Dec 20, 2012 8:43 am

In my day job, I coordinate a regional educational technology conference. This year we are doing some things with students and the Raspberry Pi, a low cost open source computing platform. This morning I came across this article from the UK:
http://www.cooking-hacks.com/index.php/ ... pi-medical#

Now I need one of my groups of students to put this together and demo it for me!

Cool post!

I have both the Raspberry Pi and Arduino already. These sensors look cool.

The mention of privacy indicates to me that the design will not work off-line?
Otherwise it might be useful for use in remote locations.
Net/cloud dependency can really bite you in the boxers.

But no place for my Zeo?
I'm also a little nervous about the body temperature sensor. Hope it's external!
