12 events in 15 minutes!!
what does this mean?
i had 7 obstructives and 5 centrals between 3:55 and 4:09 last night! those were my only events aside from 2 hypopneas that happened far apart from those. what could explain this?

Could be many things. Your ongoing thoughout the night events may have peaked at that time (a common time).sleepnasta wrote:what does this mean?

It may be that some loud noise or light event brought the stress level up to where the breathing became unstable causing the events.

Well, I am not really sure; it is kind of puzzling. Hopefully if it turns out to be only a one time, isolated kind of thing, then we go directly to the default reply of "it must just be the aliens again" . If you want, post a screen shot of the time frame in question so those much wiser than I can look it over and maybe they will see something that they could help with.

Was it aliens, or did you find out the reason?Pugsy wrote:17 centrals in 17 minutes in one night.

I had to blame the aliens this time. Never really could come up with a possible answer. Maybe I was having a good sex dream... that would account for holding my breath. I don't remember it if I did. Darn it.2 B Sleeping Soundly wrote: Was it aliens, or did you find out the reason?
I don't remember being awake either but it's possible that I was. It happened about 2 hours prior to my normal wake up time.

Ok Pugsy, If I have 17 centrals tonight and dreams about aliens and deer having sex it will be all your fault . Maybe I will try to thwart the centrals and sex dream by counting sheep... Oh no, why did I have to think about sheep...

I think I breathe faster when I have a good sex dream but can't remember the last time I had one so not sure on that.Pugsy wrote:I had to blame the aliens this time. Just a curious question. So you're looking at the data. Pull up the leak graph. Did you have a significant mask leak around that time?
I found that a new mask leak seemed to happen around the same time that I was getting event clusters during the night. You'd think the software would be more than capable of making the distinction there, but based on my own data, I have to question it. Once I fixed my own mask leaks, my AHI went way down. And I don't think it was because of better treatment. I think the software is not factoring in an irregular leak when it is looking at strange breathing patterns.
