That dog must have SOME hangover after finding a way to open the bottle of rum , or were you able to at least salvage that?
I think my husband helped the dog open the bottle.

It is a good thing you are not a young male! Mumps in adult men can cause sterility.

It's not just older people. I know someone who's in her twenties that recently needed another round of MMR. I don't even know if I got the currently-recommended number of doses as the requirements changed while I was in school, after people found that measles coverage wasn't lasting as long as they'd like. Some schools got MMR, while others got just a measles booster.

Back in the summer, when my doctor was already going to send me off for blood tests, she threw in titres (immunity tests) for a few vaccine-preventable diseases (measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis A and B). I'm now half-way through my hepatits A shots.

You can't do it all the time, but I used it for bad cramps years ago.
I second this treatment, and used it for the same thing in a past life.

I figured if pregnant women went to classes to learn a technique to breathe through labour pains, then it made sense the same technique would work for any pain, especially that type of pain that comes in waves.

Oh, and I agree about the mumps boosters. Even though I'd had all my childhood vaccinations, and had proof, when I moved to the U.S., my immigration physical included a booster shot for all of these again except chickenpox, because I was over 40 yo.

Cheers,
xena
