Encore Pro 1.8
Re: Encore Pro 1.8
Pro 2.0 and above should work with Windows 7.
Pro 2.4 and above have 32 bit and 64 bit versions you have to sort through.
Newer Pro versions big PITA to use.
Encore Viewer 2.0 will work with Windows 7 but it won't install on a 64 bit computer...so only 32 bit computer install.
Easiest software to get and use would be EncoreBasic. Exact same reports for you and should work with your older machine and card reader. It is 1/10 the size of Pro and so much easier to manage.
Check out UncleBob's signature line for information on where to get it.

The Help section explains how to use it.
It will install on both 32 and 64 bit computers and works well on Windows 7 (as well as older Windows OS).
Don't let the "Basic" part fool you. It offers the exact same reports as Pro does without the headaches. I have used several Pro versions from 1.8 through 2.5 and up...Basic is so much easier to use and you lose nothing.
Edit ...the DT3500 card reader driver software should be included with Basic install but if it doesn't work then go to the Mako website and get the driver software for your new computer.

EncoreViewer Version 2.0.23.0 installed okay on my Win7 64 bit computer. They must have fixed that in the later version. It still won't work with my System One 60 series machine though.Pugsy wrote:Pro 2.0 and above should work with Windows 7.

Respironics says they are beta testing a new version that will work with 60 series and they expect it to be out in January.

I have same version. It wouldn't install on my Win 7 64 bit computer.ClayL wrote: EncoreViewer Version 2.0.23.0 installed okay on my Win7 64 bit computer
I was able to get it to run by doing the copy/paste transfer from the version installed on a 32 bit computer. The work around for using it on a 64 bit computer.
I don't recommend Viewer at all though. It won't show wave form graphs. Not important on the older machines but the new PR S1 machines it is a piece of data that is available that Viewer doesn't offer.
Might as well get Basic...price is better (free vs $100) and be covered for all machine models and it will offer the wave form graphs for the PR S1.

.
I do have the info on the EncorePro work around changing the name of the 64 bit driver and replacing the 32 bit driver on the installation CD with it.
