Sounds like you might have a chronic sinus infection which a Medicine Man might be able to address. Irrigation with salt water can help. The Group A strep bacteria that are endemic in the upper respiratory tract and often the cause of sinus problems are particularly susceptible to high salt levels.

I use a saline nasal spray every night and it works great to keep the sinuses clear. The typical over the counter saline nasal sprays are 0.65% saline. Tissue contains the equivalent of about 0.9%. Having lived near the beach all my life, I'm partial to salt water, which is 3.3% salt, so I mix my own at that concentration and put it in an old saline nasal spray bottle. I currently have a cold and even though my nose is dripping during the day, several squirts of saline before I go to bed keeps me clear all night. And I derive some sadistic pleasure at the thought of all those evil little Strep. pyogenes bacteria popping like little balloons in the salty environment.

I still only have 1 working nostril at time. Nasal pillows are still working fine.

I bought some saline solution to use on my nose. I'm starting to spray it every night. The insides of my nose seems less dry.

This is the bottle I bought. Cost me around $9 at Target. I didn't pay attention to what was in the ingredient list at the time.

I found out I paid $9 for a 1.5 oz of water + salt

Sodium chloride, also known as salt, common salt, table salt

I have a deviated septum on the right side and did not think any nasal appliance would ever work for me - but - I have since trained myself to breathe through my nose as the my pressure (9) opens the deviated side when I use pillows. My two favorites are the Aloha and the the ResMed LT.
