The entire affair struck me as odd. My original Respironics machine looked a little worn, but not to the extent of my s9. So I figured they were giving me the try before you buy l and perhaps it would have been ok for me to have a refurb during my 90 day trial. But the respironics was loud, sounded like a baby crying and had condensation issues. Exchanging it at the end of my trial, I would have thought the s9 would be new.mnfe wrote:That is really unfortunate, I think we have the same DME. I have had nothing but good experiences with them, so to hear that they've been shady to someone else is disheartening. I thought I had found one of the good ones.
When you go in with the machine tomorrow, I suggest that you take someone with you who videotapes the audio and video of the entire confrontation, starting from the time you walk in the door. Don't try to do it yourself. Someone else needs to have nothing to do but hold the camera and be in charge of getting everyone in the frame at all times.Wildstar wrote:The entire affair struck me as odd. I will give them one last benefit of the doubt and hope that Charles Hilton the manager of this location steps up to the plate and takes care of their customer.

2312 - so its made in Singapore, is that any different than Australian?Taringa542 wrote:Look at the first four digits of the serial number, eg: 2212= Made in Australia in the year 2012, 2211= Australian made in 2011, if the first 2 digits are 23 then it is made in Singapore
Check your software, it should end in 905
The fact they got you to sign off as all OK suggests they are pulling a fast one & you will have no recourse. eg Serial starting with 22 or 23 & the year 10 or 11 which makes the software out of date & the machine 1-3 years old, depending on the time of year it was built

Software 905...so I'm good to go there.
I agree it did seem a bit odd to have to sign an addendum...

I don't think the DME has a way to reset that, only the manufacturer.
