Changing the settings on a REMstar auto cpap with cflex

Post by ~AP » Thu May 04, 2006 9:34 pm

Hi Everyone,

I am getting a new cpap and need to know how to change the settings. My doc ordered the settings at 4-20. I am on 12 cm now and adjusted the vamp to start at 7 cm with my nasal interface. However, I recently got a new nasal pillow interface and had to turn the vamp down to start at 5. I feel like I'm not getting enough air at 4 cm. I would appreciate it if someone would explain to me how to change the settings on my new cpap. I am supposed to get it in a couple of weeks. If this has been covered here before, will you please direct me to where it is? I'd really appreciate it!!

Thank you,

~A

~AP,

It seems to me I've read a Post from RestedGal, saying that you CANNOT use the Ramp feature on the Remstar Auto while it is in the "Auto" mode.

I can't quote her because I can't remember exactly.

But either do a search through the forum, or send RestGal a PM and ask about this.

Tim

I would try setting APAP to 10>14 .. then set CFLEX to 3 .. try that out.

You'll have an easier exhale and a better pressure range for your titrated 12cm.
