DME in Knoxville

Post by Vonon » Sun Nov 25, 2012 12:11 pm

2 years ago I moved to Knoxville, TN. from Colorado where I used Praxair for 4 years. They don't serve Tennessee so I need to find a new supplier for equipment that takes Medicare patients. Any recommendations? I'm probably due to get a bunch of new equipment. Advice would be much appreciated.

http://www.medicare.gov/Supplier/Includ ... tatus=True
Fill in your zip code and click "enter"
On the next page, go to the right and click the box next to "Cpaps, Rads and Related Supplies and Accessories."
and click on "view results" at the top. (The search defaults to 10 miles, but you can change it if needed)
All the businesses listed will work with Medicare, but the ones with a green dot with the "P" are the ones that have agreed to accept Medicare allowed as full payment--no upcharge!
You will need to make some calls to narrow your list down to the ones that you want to deal with.
Good luck!

Chunkfrog, thanks for that Medicare reference. It is very useful. I'm trying to find why my medical group contacted a DME 75 miles away, when there are 3 within 8 miles of my home. Could it be lowest bidder? (Or the administrator's brother-in-law?)

The little green dot is key,
No dot could cost YOU a lot more money; but Medicare pays the same in a given area.

WOW! Thank you so much! The Medicare link is great.

Eddie, do you use Apria yourself and are happy with them?
