Philips S1 Odor

My S1 ran out of water .. I didn't check it for a couple days, after I started getting an odor. It smells sort of like a burnt rubber smell .. I've since added water, changed the hose, mask and tube, but the smell persists. I even removed the humidifier and still smell it .. has anyone heard of or had this problem?

How about burnt plastic from the water chamber?
