New machine advice? Repsironics? software?

Hi All,
I haven't been around for some time, so have lost touch. It's wonderful to see the forum flourishing.

I'm looking to replace my old respironics Remstar "tank" with a new respironics machine.

I know some things may have changed, but I'm assuming that Respironics and Resmed are still the top two brands. Though I had an autopap, I ended up using the straight cpap function only. It seemed like I had worse readings with the autopap than with straight cpap. So I did not use the auto function after the first months. I do want a fully data-capable machine. I'd like to stick with the same brand since I'm hoping some supplies will work with it, like the power cable for battery operation, some filters, etc.

My question is what is the top-of-the line straight cpap that is fully data capable? Also, are these good quality machines compared with others? I'm assuming I'll have to use new software, etc. I'll have to find out how to get the software, next. All advice is appreciated.

Filters are totally different. Your Tank uses much larger filters. Might be able to cut them down though.
Unsure about what you were talking about with the battery power cable.
Otherwise everything is pretty much new and other than maybe long hose working...everything has changed a lot from what you are used to.

If you just want a straight cpap machine then the PR System One 60 series Pro ...model 460 would be the one to look at.

If you are paying out of pocket the APAP machine which of course has cpap mode available doesn't really cost all that much more though. Model 560

Heated hose humidifier is an option.

Software is easily found. Sleepyhead with the 60 series patch will work with either of the above machines.
EncoreBasic is much easier to use than Pro and offers exact same data...send me a PM if you want more information about it.

This is for the ASV machine so not every bit of data is available on the cpap/apap machines...the basics are all there and the same.
