Leak Data Review

Post by cotten » Fri Nov 16, 2012 9:15 pm

I'm attaching an image of what I get with the normal swift fx that seems pretty typical for my leak rates. The other image is of the swift with the bella loops. What do y'all think about the leak rates? Is this normal? Do I need to explore other options? How would I know if I was mouth breathing? I don't wake up with an especially dry mouth or anything. I have short hair so I don't find the normal fx grips to the head all that well and with the burly climateline max it tends to get pulled around quite easily.

I have found that if I use nasal strips and keep my nose open... my mouth stays closed on it's own.
I also use a netipot and Vicks inhaler when I need it.
It could vary for you, but it is something to explore.
Try to keep things simple.

They don't look too bad, though not great. You have to see whether nights with more leaks make your sleep worse - in that case, you need to fix it a bit.

Any leak that wakes you up and disturbs sleep is unwanted...big or little.

You spend a little time above 24 L/min but not a horrible amount of time. A few short lived spikes above the red line but not any prolonged period of time in huge blocks.
While not the prettiest of leak lines...if you are sleeping well then I wouldn't make any huge changes to anything.
Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease.
If you are waking up frequently fiddling with mask leaks...then that is a different story.
You might be doing some mouth breathing but if you are it doesn't appear to be a large amount of mouth breathing and unless I saw large blocks of leak well above the red line then I wouldn't do much worrying about it.
