Contour Pillows

Post by languageusa » Thu Nov 15, 2012 10:05 am

I am mostly a right side sleeper. Once I turn on my side, air leaks start almost immediately. I am reading about contour pillows. Do they help? Which one would you recommend? Thanks!

Pillows, like masks, are something you just have to try.
It's good to start with proportions and firmness you already like, and go from there.
DH got a cpap pillow, but it's too thick for me--hurts my neck.

I recently purchased a Contour CPAP Mask Support Pillow 4'' inch Standard for Sleep Apnea. It was a bit pricey, but I got a pretty good deal on eBay.

I LOVE this pillow. It has a recessed space on each side for your mask and hose. This is great for me because i always sleep on my side and my old pillow used to smash the mask into my face and nose, causing major soreness, and also causing leaks.

The thing I love most is that it aligns the neck and spine, even as I sleep on my side. My horrible neck pain from previous surgeries is relieved to a point that I barely notice it as I use the pillow.

This is only my opinion, and what works for me may not work for you. I do believe there was a 14 day return policy, which most sellers do offer now, do to an eBay compliance policy. If you decide to try one and go the eBay route, I suggest making sure that the seller does have a return policy, just in case.

I am a side sleeper, and since I have got one of these it has really helped with sleeping. I have a full face mask, and ResMed S9 Elite with a humidifier -pressure of 10, temp of input air 65' and a climate hose. Would recommend the pillow , here in Austin Tx, Bed Bath & beyond has it for around $60.00, has to be ordered.

I love my little memory foam curved pillow from Wal Mart.
I made a slip cover for it --out of a slip! Nice for my hair.
