what to do with new mask I can't use?

Post by Guest » Fri Apr 28, 2006 2:04 am

NO, I'm not trying to sell anything here. I have more respect for this great site then to do something that low. Anyhow, there is no way to contact me regardless.

My question is, that I ordered a Full face mask about a week ago. No way I'm going to be able to use. I'm going to try a nasal pillow system. However, it seems like such a waste to just toss the basically unused full face mask. Anyone have any suggestions on where, or how I might sell it? Or even donate it? I paid $130 for it, used for a total of four hours.

I know ebay does not allow the sale of the actual Cpap machines, but are the masks alone okay to sell there? Are the masks by themselves regulated? I don't see how the government can regulate the masks.

Thanks!

It's always good to have two masks - I have an activa and a breeze. If I get a sore in my nose or just need a change - I've got a back up. You are so nice to offer to donate it to someone in need, but you might just want to hang onto it as a spare.

Just a thought...

Masks are sold on ebay all the time. Search for cpap or apnea and you will see tons of stuff there.

Guest,

Selling a mask you can't use works both ways. You can use the money you sell the mask for to get one that might work for you and someone else gets a mask they might otherwise not be able to afford. Don't be silly...post the mask for sale and you'll probably get rid of it no problem. It's not "low," as you put it, IMHO. It actually helps both parties involved.
