If the pm's have been read, they could have easily been replied to.

Far, far better would have been to start a thread "Looking for xxxx, please contact me" then the family member or anyone who knows them could have responded in a non aggressive manner. Just why assume a rip off within a short period of time, especially of a long time poster?
Well, it is too late now. Because if I post a thread looking for this person. I would give away the identity of this person.

Really? If my relative is in the hospital that is the last thing I would be concerned about, especially if I already posted a thread saying that everything was on hold.

That is if the person in question is the person you are referring to, we don't know that it is.

And even if I was concerned about it, if my relative had posted that they would exchange something I would want to check that out with them before sending the wrong thing. Maybe I know nothing about this site or the people on it. Maybe the log-in is automatic, so that when I click on the link it brings me here as X, when I am actually Y. We all need to be very careful about making sweeping statements about a fellow sleep apnea victim, because it may end up as a big stain on the reputation of this forum, if not a lawsuit. How many of us want that? I started coming to this forum because I needed help. I continued coming to this forum because I believed I could help others. If the main reason for this forum existing has changed, I may not come here as often.

Me too. I would also not bother opening the cpap forum, much less reading PM's, if I even noticed the PM count!
This is being blown way out of proportion as many threads are lately.

The recent post by a family member about her Mom's hospitalization was for forum member Justpam. She doesn't have 3000 posts and is not the person referred to in original post. Plus I have heard from her and she is indeed home from the hospital and responding to her messages and has sent out the stuff she promised to send out.

That's not to say that something similar hasn't occurred in this situation but if people are thinking of Justpam...it isn't her.

CAUTION, CAUTIONARY TALE AHEAD: Earlier this year, on this forum, I remember someone bought a mask, or maybe it was a machine from another long-standing member, and didn't receive it right away in the mail. There was the same irate "give us a name" cry shouted out by some individuals. Anyway, a few days later the buyer received the package, as described in the post, via the mail and was very happy... as I recall there was just some mix-up on addresses or something like that. Plus the buyer expressed thankfulness that they hadn't outted an innocent seller. I'd advise waiting a bit, a long bit, before calling out the cavalry.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I guess my frustration isn't with the CONTENT of this thread. I guess I just don't understand why the OP would post a rant and not give a name. What's the purpose of posting the rant in the first place? Why not post "looking for xxx" as another poster suggested.

Regarding the CONTENT of this thread, I would hope that if someone truly got scammed that they would warn the rest of us - with a name.

King... I have an unused medium size pillow that I would be happy to send to you. I also have a used medium pillow that I used for 3 nites. I will wash it carefully and then you can decide if you want to use it or not. I was experimenting with sizes and find I need a small. I have plenty of the small pillows so don't be concerned about sending me one. PM me your address and I'll get them in the mail this week.

No, not me. I only replied to this because it was back on the top anyway..

Thanks, Pugsy.

I counted 8 suspects with post counts > 2999 and < 4000.
The next step would be to see which of those 8 are in the Pillow Exchange posting. I haven't gone that far.
