Where I Live

Post by rdjw » Sun Apr 23, 2006 11:18 pm

New Mexico for last 36 years, except for 3 years down in Brisbane ('76 - '79). Before that is irrelevant. Hey Nev! I know where Toowoomba is!

Born and raised right here 'neath the wide open skis of Wyoming

Both sides of family homesteaded land south of Jackson Hole

Grew up in Pinedale, at foot of Wind River Range

Lived past 20 years in Evanston, southwest corner of Wyoming - Uinta Mountains.....

Husband's family homesteaded here at foot of Uinta Mountains

Guess we're - well I guess we are mountain people!!!

Hey RDJW - have spent some time in Cleveland (south of Brisbane) then rode the Queenslander train north to Cairns - had a blast - I do love Australia and its people - especially in May when it is not too hot - I am an avid birder so Australia was quite the wonder for me!!!!!!

Big Sky Country! West Central Montana a few miles from the Idaho border and a little north of half way between Glacier and Yellowstone Parks. A River Runs Through It.

I'm not a birder, but I did find the birds down there as fantastic as evewrything else. From the drongo in the mango tree in my back yard to the bell birds, scarlet rosellas and lyre birds up in Lamington National Forest. Gorgerous place, Lamington.

When it gets cold there...don't come looking for me...I am in West Palm Beach I came from Philadelphia after 48 years and am teaching people how to count for the next election. I hope to make the winners the Dems this time. Pray for us when the 2006 hurricanes come through
