Do you ever get skin irritation caused from your CPAP machine. What do you use and does it work?

I got a sore on the bridge of my nose and used some t-shirt fabric to make a cover for where it touches my skin.

100,000 IU a week of prescription vitamin D cleared it up. Fast. It is called drisdol and comes in generic. For many folks, I suspect 50,000 IU a week (one drisdol) would do the job. Also, laying out in the sun during the summer helps lot. Anytime you can get vitamin D or exposure to the sun.

Vitamin D does wonders for dermatological conditions.

If the irritation on your skin is more of a "sore" caused by the pressure of the mask on that particular spot on your face / nose then a different mask would be a good solution. If the irritation is more of a skin "rash" maybe caused by being allergic to the material the mask is made of then that's a little bit trickier. Most mask are made of the same material. You may have to go to a cloth mask like the sleepweaver.

I wonder if there is a reaction between the night creams some wear and the silicone-
-creating an irritant or trapping allergens from the air.
I have used Lansinoh as a temporary barrier, which is nice, although difficult to apply.
Not sure if I can use anything with my cloth mask. (or need to)
