Is there any way to extend the 30 day trial on this machine?
Thanks

Re: Respronics System One 60 Series - APAP Trial
Are you referring to this machine - PR System One REMstar Pro CPAP Machine with AutoIQ? This is the one that works like an auto-CPAP machine for up to 30 days, then switches to a constant pressure CPAP machine.

I do believe that you can re-set the 30 day feature from the clinician menu.

Re: Respronics System One 60 Series - APAP Trial
Hmm. According to the clinician manual, there are 30 days...and that's it. That 30 day period can be divided up into 10 periods of 3 days each. For "Auto-Trial" to work, it has to be run for a minimum of 12 hours, with at least 4 hours of consecutive time. Once 30 days pass, the machine will revert to "CPAP-Check mode", where the pressure will be adjusted up to a maximum of 3 cc H2O from the starting pressure. Kind of convoluted, but once you read the thing a few times, the basics are:
1) You have a total of 30 days
2) Can use the 30 days in 10 chunks of 3 days
3) In those three days, you have to have at least 12 hours sleep recorded
4) Once the trial is over, the machine will set a pressure that would appear to be at the 90% pressure
5) Once the 30 days are over, the machine will not do Auto Trial - it will go into the CPAP-Check mode.
More details in the attached image. From what I read, it's a useful feature but to be used wisely, as it is time limited.

Re: Respronics System One 60 Series - APAP Trial
Turn your machine over and look for a sticker with the model number...it will be a 3 digit number usually preceded by DS or REF.
The PR System One 60 Series APAP should have a model number of 560 showing.
The clinical manual for this machine that I have in front of me shows 4 mode options.
CPAP
CPAP Check
Auto Trial
Auto
The last one "Auto" is full time APAP with no time limit restrictions.
Now the Auto IQ machine that was mentioned above is model 450 or maybe 460. It does have a 30 day limit but that can be remedied by resetting the machine therapy hours to zero...then it gives you another 30 days...you can do that for as long as you want to. Down side is that the machine when resetting therapy to zero....all your usage hours is also erased so not something that someone wants to do if you still have to prove compliance usage for insurance requirements.
