Encore Basic erasing waveforms
Encore Basic seems to be erasing waveform data on the SIM from my PR60 APAP (560 with heated tube humidifier).
At most the chip will store 2 days of waveforms then they disappear. Usually, it just shows only one day of waveforms.
I have been removing the SIM chip daily and downloading the daily reports and waveforms. I have been clicking the box marked 'return to patient' but this does not seem to matter. After a day or so the waveforms do not appear for anything over one or two days. All the other data is there, but not the waveforms.
I have been downloading the info each day into the PC for a backup, but I can't understant why the info is being lost. I have not been clicking "delete" or anything like that on Encore Basic.
The PC is running Windows 7 64 bit OS.
Should I be using the newer Encore Viewer? Something else? Does anyone have a copy of Encore Viewer?
I don't want to mess the SIM chip up for my DME to review at the end of the month, but then if I can, I'd like to review the data daily -- assuming that's possible without deleting the data.
Does just the act of taking the chip in and out of the CPAP machine cause the machine to reset the waveform info on the chip?
Very concerning.

Re: Encore Basic erasing waveforms
encore basic doesn't erase anything. encore basic only displays the last day of wave form. that doesn't mean it's not on the sd card or in the machine. when and if sleepyhead becomes available, you'll see they are all still there.

Re: Encore Basic erasing waveforms
The best way to describe what's going on in Encore Basic is that it loads the last day (or two) of wave forms into its data base and these wave forms overwrite the previous wave forms in the data base, but not on the card.
It's the way Encore Basic is set up: The presumption is that nobody in a DME's office or a doctor's office is likely to want to see more than just a sample wave flow and the "sample" wave flow provided is the last one.
Stupid? Yes, in my humble opinion. But that's the way Respironics set stuff up in their software.
The only real work around for Encore Basic is to save the daily wave form to a PDF each and every day if you want to be able to review them at a later point. It's a pain in the butt, but it is doable. Or you could use the blunderbuss Encore Pro, but pro is huge, slow and has that nasty "three strikes and you're (locked) out" password "feature". But if you download the data each and every day, Encore Pro will (usually) add the new wave flow to the collection of wave flows in its database. Quite frankly, as someone who has used both Encore Basic and Encore Pro, I believe it may be faster to just save the nightly wave form to a pdf each morning in Encore Basic rather than using Pro.
Once the bugs in SH are worked out and JediMark releases a version that works with the Series 60 machines, you'll find that all the wave forms are still on the card.

Encore is really horrible software.

Re: Encore Basic erasing waveforms
Ain't that the truth! But alas, until SleepyHead can be made to work with the Series 60 machines, the users of the Series 60s are stuck with Encore. Which is better than being unable to obtain any software at all.archangle wrote:Encore is really horrible software.

Re: Encore Basic erasing waveforms
I use EncoreBasic and I haven't seen any waveforms in my data. Where are the waveforms located?

Re: Encore Basic erasing waveforms
Mine had just started doing this. The last time(a couple of days ago) I loaded my data on my card and reviewed it on Encore Basic it was all there but today I loaded it on my card and none of the waveform was there, just a blank page where it used to be.
