Big Problem with Breeze
I'm hoping someone can help me. I've had a Breeze since last November shortly after I started therapy. I have major difficulties with full face masks.
Anyway, while I can sleep with the Breeze, I've had to have it replaced three times because the seams on the nasal pillow case splits along the seam. Nothing is done to it, it just splits. I'm talking about the plastic casing that the nasal pillows fit into.
Has anyone else had this problem? I'm thinking that this mask is a piece of junk.
How about the Aura? From reading some of the posts here, I understand it's a bit noisy. Is that a huge problem for some people? Any help I can get on this would be terrific. I'm not really feeling much better with the therapy and am wondering if this mask problem is a factor. Thanks.

I have had my Breeze for 4 years and no problem except for the disintegrating padding recently.
Do you have it adjusted properly at all the adjustment places? Do you insert the the pillows first when putting it on? Removing it back end first?
At what point in use does the plenum crack? I will admit that it's a fragile set up, but I would expect the headgear part to crack first.
Can you describe how it breaks?

The Aura is nice, but you will almost definitely need an Aussie heated hose to prevent rainout with it. Most people like the heated hose anyway. I don't find the Aura noisy at all, but I also sleep with a white noise machine.
Some people like the Swift also, and the new Comfort Lite 2's are getting very good reviews.

Breeze
The plenum cracks along the seam. There is a seam where the top part, holding the nasal pillows, is joined to the bottom. Three times the top of the plenum has separated from the bottom. The mask will be working fine, no leaks, and the next time I go to use it, it is cracked. It's almost as if the glue, joining the parts together isn't strong enough to hold it. Over several weeks use, the top separates from the bottom.
I have never had any problem adjusting the Breeze. It is very comfortable for me so I don't think it has anything to do with that. I don't have a clue what's happening. My provider is replacing it each time but the warranty is going to run out at some point and I don't want to be stuck with a defective mask.
Thanks for the info on the Aura. I am in Canada and I'm not sure that heated Aussie hose is available here.

heated hose
I am in Canada too and had no problem ordering the heated hose from Australia. It arrived quickly in about 7 days.
It has made a world of difference in my treatment. I would not ever be without my heated hose.
I also use the breeze and have had no problems with anything cracking. I also have the aura which I like a lot and just got the CL2. The aussie hose is great with all of them.

I've been using the Breeze for a year - about half of it alternating with the Aura. No plenum split for me either.
Any chance you've been:
Washing it in very warm water?
Leaving it where it can be hit by sunshine?
Drying it in near a radiator or warm air blower?
O.

breeza problems
If the breeze leaks at the plenum seams and blows air into your eye, then fill the seam with pvc glue and hold it and your problem is solved.
If you crack your breeze along the seams or anyplace, then get a soldering iron and melt it back together.
Works for moi.
If it is a big break, then use another scrap plastic piece to make a spline and weld it together,
Works great.

Here is a link to the Dremel and where you can get it over on your side of the pond. It is what is being held in the hand in the picture.

I also have never had any problems with my Breeze. As far as the Aura for me, I find it more difficult to exhale. Apparently that is just me though, as no one else seems to have this problem so I would not let it deter you from purchasing one. I am blaming it on the exhalation port being so far away from the nasal port (on top). I don't have this problem at all with the Breeze or the Swift. I don't have any problems with noise from it, and it is the most comfortable. In fact, last night I had the Aura on, then switched back to the Breeze near morning. Felt like i was suffocating and had puffy, watering eyes this a.m. Again, it just seems to be me that has this problem. I do have a heated hose and it helps, but I still have to keep the humidity fairly low to prevent rainout with my Aura. I can turn it up much higher with the Breeze.
I had the exact same problem with my Breeze. It worked great for a few months and cracked at the seam, blowing air into my eyes. Superglue helped a little but looked pretty bad. I ordered a new one and within a week, it happened again. That time, I used plummer's putty until insurance would pay for a new mask. Now I use the Swift.
