In answer to your question, yes, this site is still run by the same people.

May I politely suggest that if you have an issue with cpap.com, try contacting Johnny Goodman privately and see if he can help work it out. Johnny has proved over and over again that he really wants to do things properly and provide good customer service.

Before bashing cpap.com openly on the forum -- how about going that route?

Well, since it's the weekend, and I'd kinda like to sit back and enjoy catching up on some of the threads here before the kickoffs start,

Delta Dave,

I hope you were joking but even if you were, that is really not funny and in fact is quite revolting.

Mild 6, yes this site is funded by cpap.com. If you have a complaint, you might want to contact them directly. It worked big time for me when I did. I felt they were really responsive and proved what first class outfit they truly are.

Carbonman -- you are one, very class act. Thanks for sharing your wisdom with the rest of us.

If you want to rant..why not do it directly to the person that needs to hear it..not everyone else . Rants are much more effective when posed to the person that caused it in the first place...it just might rectify the problem and the rant will be over.
Just my 2 cents worth..and we all know a cent is worth nothin'.

thanks to those for constructive responses! How do I contact Johnny Goodman?

Some context, I am a long time loyal customer of cpap.com. My recent order has turned out to be a bad experience for the first time.

You can send a PM to Johnny through the forum. I believe it is Johnnygoodman.

Stuff happens, even with the best of companies. If there is any way for Johnny to make it right, he will.

Good luck. I hope you can get it resolved.

If you have a problem with your order, pick up the phone and call them 1-800-356-5221 form 8 AM to 6 PM today. I just received an item that was broken and I called and she sent me a replacement plus a prepaid label to ship the broken one back. My replacement will be here today. There the best as far as I'm concerned.

Carbonman: Nice, balanced reply to a nice, balanced inquiry -- mild6 showed class and discretion in posting his question first rather than firing off a loud obnoxious post, say like the one right beneath his...

Unfortunately, that poster has neither class nor deception.

Hi - Click on 'The Team" at the bottom of most pages and you'll see various people listed... but I have a suggestion - Johnny's wife Carolyn can sometimes be easier to get through to quickly so you might want to try her first.

Wow!

You state "I am a long time loyal customer of cpap.com", the least you can do is give them a chance to fix the problem. Have you even tried contacting CPAP.com and giving them a chance before preparing to throwing them under a bus in a public forum?

Their phone number is on their website in large numbers at the top of the page. It's on your receipt, invoice, and probably on the packing slip as well.

From their website (https://www.cpap.com/contact.php):
Call toll free 1-800-356-5221, Monday through Friday 8am-10pm CST, Saturday 8am-6pm CST, for immediate assistance.
Please contact them and post back to this thread to let us know how it turned out.

Thanks,
Chris

It reflects well on Johnny that the question about who funds this forum can even be asked, I think. It shows class.

For that and other reasons, I try my best to reflect well on Johnny by what language and tone I choose to use in the forum he hosts. After all, it only makes sense that I choose what language and tone to use based, not on what language and tone I would use in my own home, but on what language and tone it is polite to use in his--especially when interacting with those identifying themselves as his customers. Furthermore, I would hate for Johnny to be embarrassed to send his business associates to this site.

Just sayin'.

If someone were to ask me to list my favorite things about CPAP.com, "good customer service" would be near the very top of that list. If someone were to ask me my least favorite thing, I can only think of one--occasional lack of timely enforcement of the user agreement at CPAPtalk.com, this site, as hosted by the owners of CPAP.com.

Yes, there really is a user agreement. I try to read it on a regular basis, myself, since the owners often seem to depend on us to self-enforce it. Here are some of my favorite parts, personally:
CPAPtalk.com uses moderators and administrators to monitor the content and appearance of messages posted in public areas of CPAPtalk.com. . . . While using CPAPtalk.com, you will not: . . . post any material, or links to any material that is (at our sole discretion) knowingly . . . abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, . . . CPAPtalk.com works together with its users to keep CPAPtalk.com operating properly and to help safeguard its users as much as possible. Please report to us any issues, inappropriate or offensive content, and violations of our policies.
This post of mine contains the sort of observations I would generally only make in a PM directly to a fellow user of the forum. But not everyone has PM's activated.

I have no connections to the owners of this site, other than buying from them now and then. So my opinions are entirely my own. I have to use those opinions to examine my own posts to decide whether they measure up to the user agreement. And others have to measure their own posts against their own opinions of what the user agreement means, I guess.

Hopefully Johnny would let me know if my posts ever fail to measure up to the user agreement from his point of view.
