Confused about Sleepyhead versioning
Confused about Sleepyhead versioning
Can anyone tell me what the story is in regard to versioning of SleepyHead for Windows? I downloaded and installed a version sometime in March of 2012 and I upgraded it to versoin 0.9.2-1 dated January 13, 2012. Today I went out to SorceForge and it tells me that the latest version is now 0.9.1 but the release date is April 16, 2012. So how is it that I have a later version installed while the current version has an earlier version. Can someone enlighten me as to what is going on?
Re: Confused about Sleepyhead versioning
SleepyHead is still in Beta version b/c the programmer who wrote the softawre has OSA and also family problems.
Please don't hold your breath to see a final version soon.

Re: Confused about Sleepyhead versioning
After the initial 0.9.1 version is installed there is an update that makes it 0.9.2-1 Beta.
I think there were minor changes to the Jan 10 build which was offered in March.
So 0.9.1 is going to show as the latest large download version but the update makes it 0.9.2-1 Beta.

There is a 0.9.2-3 but you have to build it from the source code. The last mac release version is -2.
Some of the last changes wer
Some of the changes are to get it to run on the mac or windows or linux. All the versions seem to be about the same that were released within about a month of each other.

Release Notes
Hi There!
This is just a minor update, but it added some new functionality to the auto-updater.
New features & bugs fixes in this Update:
Auto-Updater test for Windows & Mac Platforms
Adds Total Leaks Overview chart for PRS1 Users.
Preliminary ZEO CSV Support, and simple SleepStage line graph
Fixes Overview AHI chart showing "No Data" on 0.00 days.
Fixes crash after using Preferences before importing first data.
Fixes first minute of Resp. Rate & Minute Vent calcs not showing data. (You will have to Data->Advanced->Purge CPAP Data and then reimport if you want this, as recalc won't do it)
Cursor up/down zoom did not take into account hidden graphs
Would you like to help test breaky stuff?
Advanced users who are willing, can now help test future updates, so we can hopefully avoid unleashing unintentonally buggy versions on everyone else.
There is an option in General Preferences that tells the updater to look at potentially breaky experimental & test builds.
If your experiencing a specific bug or problem I might occasionally ask you to switch this setting on so I can deliver a custom fix for you to test.
Please always read the release notes carefully before accepting an update with experimental/test builds switched on.
Sleep Well, and have fun!
JediMark
