Dumb brunette moment

Post by the_nap_ster » Wed Aug 29, 2012 2:27 pm

I did not sleep very well last night, so I thought I would take a little nap. I grabbed my Liberty Hybrid (quickest for me to put on since I don't need a chinstrap or tape with it), put it on, fiddled with the tubing to attach it, and snuggled into bed.

As I was laying there for a few minutes, I reflected on how HOT it was. There's heatwave going on in SoCal right now, but usually the cool air of my APAP keeps me from getting overheated. In fact, I was so hot that I went to my signature summer move: direct the exhaust onto my arm as my personal fan.

But wait, the exhaust was warm! And kind of wimpy! Where was my personal fan action?

Ladies and gentlemen, it took me about 15 minutes to realize I hadn't turned the machine on.

We could start a post with our best crazy mistakes.

Here one from a dark brown almost black, not even a brunette

I received a Swift Fx for a friend whom needs a lot of help with all the CPAP drama.

I carefully disassembled and washed spot clean the mask and sent it to him (he lives at 3 hours from home).

I ask him if he was using the mask and how it was going because he has a lot of leaks with his Headrest. He answers, I used it and I like it, the leaks are not bad.

I saw him last week end, he had brought the mask, machine everything for me to check and make the adjustments needed. So I said lets take a look to the Swift FX in case I need to tight it a bit for you.

I toke the mask in my hands and I started turning it in all the imaginable positions. Something was not right What happens with this mask !, was my thought.

I told him could you show me how do you use it ? He put it on and OH my heart fainted . The mask was assembled upside down and my poor friend had been using it like that and thinking it was working better than his Headrest

WHO ASSEMBLED THAT MASK LIKE THAT? Sure, my self I can't believe it and my friend was using it like that.

So I guess this means in the event of a power outage we'd have at least 15 minutes ?!

Glad to hear you're taking care of yourself with a little extra rest these days -- 'course some incoming air will make for a more restful rest.

I can now attest: in the case of power outage, I will not die. I might be dumbly thinking about the weather, but I will still be breathing.

Laughing at the goofy things in life is pretty much the only thing keeping me going. So I thought I'd share a bit of my dorkiness to help y'all laugh at me too!

Aw, thanks Jen! We got married 9 weeks ago in Arlington, and it was a really beautiful day.

Here's a picture of us on our first morning as a married couple! (He is pretty much the cutest thing ever! )
