I triple dog dare you...
Re: I triple dog dare you...
Look, people. It's "triple dog dare," NOT double cat dare.
Just sayin'.
Man. It is just SO hard to keep things on topic around here sometimes.

*chuckles* True, yet no one ever said anything about "Triple bear ya" and look how many bears we have with OSAjnk wrote:Look, people. It's "triple dog dare," NOT double cat dare.

However, I will agree with you on one point with the kitties jnk, I'm just surprised any one of them would use a mask being they sleep much of their life away.
Hark, maybe that IS the reason more should be fluffy hoseheads!

Well, he's as big as a dog (18 lbs), and I refer to him as my puppy cat.Look, people. It's "triple dog dare," NOT double cat dare.

Okay, here's one of the dogs.

Re: I triple dog dare you...
I didn't actually put them on this animals. I was planning to, but somebody wanted animal photos, and I didn't have time to set up a background and get a helper (in the middle of the night) to do it. So, I just mask photos off cpap.com cut out the background, and adjusted them to fit over the pet photos. I may do a real cat photo on Sunday. I'll be at a cat show doing photo sessions, so I can take my cats in there and try an old nasal mask as a full face (literally) on my own cats.Zoo, I love the photo of your dog! Can't believe she really let you put those pillows in her nose!

Re: I triple dog dare you...
Same breed, and age, but not related. Jay Jay was adopted from a rescue group at a cat show. I went to a cat show as a vendor and came home with a cat. That was 7 1/2 years ago, and Jay Jay got me hooked on Ragdolls. The avatar is Quinn Quinn (she really does prefer to have her name doubled). I got her and another Ragdoll from a breeder in California. I fell in love with the other one when a photo was posted on a Ragdoll email list. They were a package deal, so we decided to get them. Sassy would be mine, and Quinn would be my mom's cat. Two weeks after we got them, Quinn picked me, and it soon became apparent that Sassy would not enter my room because of Chase, another cat, who like to chase her. (Go figure). Chase died last summer, so Sassy has decided that she is afraid of Jay Jay now (he's a big wuss). So, we joke that I have 2 1/2 cats, and my mom has 1 1/2 cats. She has a Siamese too.Is Jay,Jay related to your avatar with the white paws?
Currently, my mom has two dogs, but I enjoy them especially Traaay (the one I used in the photo). I have had my own shelties, but lost the last one about 4 years ago, and I'm not ready to have another dog of my own right now.
Quinn is currently sleeping on my mousepad and number keys.

Re: I triple dog dare you...
Yo bitchez!! Anybody miss the Abby Normal girl in the room? LOLz Sorry to be absent, but I'm VERY glad to see you carried on the fun even without me! My boys were visiting from Wisconsin so I got to spend some much needed time with them. I had a few pages to catch up on and lots of cool new pictures!! Still Tired, I LOVE your ode to Hannibal Lecter!! Chearyshe, your pictures are also fantastic!! I adore the Muppet picture as well! *giggles* Thank you to all of the others that have contributed on this thread as well.
RetroDave, I received your package of spare Swift FX parts, THANK YOU!!! If you'll zap me across your email, I'll send you pictures of fabric I have so you can choose which hose covers you'd like! I'll get that made this week, pinky promise!
FarmGirl, my honey is out of town starting the 25th, holler if you want to drop by and I can sew up your custom sleep mask while we chat!!
Here's a small update on my progress. I've now been a hosehead for a little over a month now. I keep flipping back and forth between the Swift FX that FarmGirl gave me and the Mirage FX for her. This week, it's mostly been the Mirage. I still HATE that claustrophobic feeling I get wearing it, but the leak rate is MUCH lower on it. *unhappy face*
But, guess who's been out of the guest bedroom and back in the Master bedroom for the last 6 nights?!? *happy dance* It has been embarrassing as all hell wearing the mask around him though. I feel super shy, especially when dawn breaks and he can see me. Ugh. I've always been lazy and tend to go to sleep with my makeup on too... yeah, the mask doesn't seal well if you wear makeup. So not only is he seeing me with the mask on, it's also sans makeup. Southern female version of hell. Meh, anyway... it is what it is, right?
I'm up to sleeping more than I've ever slept in my entire life. I used to average 2 hours of sleep at a time before a nightmare would make me wake up. My nightmares are almost completely gone and I'm sleeping around SEVEN hours a night now!! O_O I was an insomniac even as a kid, so this has never happened before.
Thanks again to everybody that has been helping me through this. Your pictures of you in your masks and garb help more than you'll ever know. It helps me see other options, modifications, and I get lots of ideas and info from it all. That and it helps just knowing I'm not the only freak out here. I love you guys! <3 <3 <3

glad to hear that you were busy with your kids!
It sounds so "funny" that you that you are shy! you certainly aren't shy with us, are ya! This is the best thread ever and it's important to add a little lightness and humor to our hosed lives.
Anyway, welcome back!

I'm sorry if I ask too many questions Doctor, but I hope you understand that breathing while sleeping is very important to me. I'd prefer not to be like the man who drowned while crossing a river with an average depth of 6 inches.
