reviews on Mirage Liberty mask
Hello, I am thinking I might need to switch my mask....the bridge of my nose is too sore. I was thinking I might do well with the Mirage Liberty hybrid mask. Has anyone out there have experience with this mask, good or bad? I would like to hear about it.
Re: reviews on Mirage Liberty mask
I have one and use it only when I have a cold. Even then, I hate to cough into it so I sometimes pull it off in the middle of the night.
Much less restrictive feeling than full face because of the nasal pillows.
I like being able to breathe through my mouth whenever I want if my nose is congested at all.
The headgear hits me in a tender spot where my neck and head meet, that's why I don't use it more of the time.
I've only been on Cpap for a month, so don't have a lot of experience with any mask>

There's 126 reviews at the above link.
We have many Liberty users and many Respcare Hybrid users. Some do better with one over the other.
It is going to be like any mask out there. YMMV. Some love it...some hate it and some are indifferent.
Only way to know which way you will go is to try it.

I started with the swift II nasal pillows but now use the Mirage liberty Hybrid as my Primary mask and I love it . It is a good Mask as long as you keep it clean.

I too love this mask. I can't tolerate anything on the bridge of my nose, and the Innomed Hybrid just didn't fit me well. But I echo Pugsy: just because it works for me doesn't mean it'll work for you. These things are so individual. But I love my Liberty Hybrid, and I think it's definitely worth trying out.opticalpopsicle wrote:Hello, I am thinking I might need to switch my mask....the bridge of my nose is too sore. I hated the Liberty Mirage....it will not seal at all for me.So I then got an Innomed Hybrid and love it. I use it when I have a stuffy nose. The rest of the time I love my Swift Fx for Her.

Re: reviews on Mirage Liberty mask
I have one & would love to try it out but they fitted me with a small size & the mask area fits fairly well but the straps at the top of my head certainly do not. W/ a head as large as mine (7 1/4) I'm a medium, dammit. Normally i use a Quatro FX w/ the Padacheeks liner & it works fine (finally). Due for a new mask probably in Dec. & will be fitted w/ a medium mask of some kind LAYING DOWN & ON MY SIDE and not sitting upright in a chair !

I'm sorry if I ask too many questions Doctor, but I hope you understand that breathing while sleeping is very important to me. I'd prefer not to be like the man who drowned while crossing a river with an average depth of 6 inches.

codinqueen: I love my Swift FX for Her, but unfortunately, I always have nasal congestion (resulting in mouth breathing) when I'm lying down and feel that I need to get a hybrid mask instead. I've been looking at the Innomed Hybrid; it has nasal pillows, but also allows for mouth breathing. Was it difficult to get used to the Innomed Hybrid after using the Swift FX for Her? I've been using a chin strap with my Swift, but I still breathe through my mouth when my nose is congested. I've used all kinds of pills and sprays (OTC and Rx) and even bought a hydropulse nasal/sinus irrigator thinking that might help (not). I really don't want to part with my Swift, but I don't think I have much of a choice otherwise. How does the Innomed Hybrid stack up to the Swift FX for Her in your opinion?codinqueen wrote:I hated the Liberty Mirage....it will not seal at all for me.So I then got an Innomed Hybrid and love it. The Liberty is softer than the Innomed.
I would have kept it if only it had fit.
