Oh crap! Now I'm wondering if this is what I had wrong the other night. I didn't even realize these notches or anything before and thought the pillow went on either way and was the same.
I actually had this correct (after I checked). I clearly see the notch now and am wondering if it would have even snapped in correctly IF I had reversed it with the "old" pillows.
Good to know though

Yes, they will snap in quite easily even if the notches are lined not up or even there.
The Bella loops...they all have the notch...so even the right side with the notch has to fit into a non notched pillow side.
They work just fine.
I went a week with the nasal pillows backwards before I noticed it. And I have used that mask for nearly 2 years and I couldn't tell right away it was backwards. Not nearly as noticeable as one might think.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

The RT who fitted me with the Swift FX actually knew what she was doing. And she gave me a wonderful tip on telling when the pillows are upside down that has nothing to do with looking for notches:
The pillows themselves have a little
raised RESMED stamped just above the cones when the mask is correctly assembled and put on. She told me to always look and
feel around for those letters when assembling the mask or orienting it to put it on my face.
And I can verify that you can
feel the raised letters with your fingers---which is really useful if you are putting the mask back on in a dark room or a pitch black tent somewhere in the woods of northern Wisconsin or the UP as I've found out on my recent vacation.

Need some advice please.
I have had this unit for a few days after using regular masks for a year or so. The amount of air flowing out of the vent is very strong. I have to put a pillow between my wife and I. I lowered the pressure to 8.0 but it is still strong. No leaks around the mask itself.
Help?

You have posted this problem before and your were referring to the Pilairo. Are you sure that the nasal pillow is seated fully and properly? I had a problem with air seemingly coming out the vent....it was really loud and lots of air and I didn't have the nasal pillow stuck on good.
If it is strictly vented air...nothing you can do except put something up like the pillow to block it or try to redirect the vented air maybe with some sort of hose management system so the vent points upwards....or try a different mask.
