Need Encore Pro SERIAL Port card reader driver Please

Post by strobotach » Sat Apr 15, 2006 2:54 pm

Hi, I bought a Litronic Netsignia 210 serial port card reader
today for $3 today on a gamble it might work for the Encore pro cards.

If someone could please direct me to the serial port driver
used with Encore Pro card reader, I would appreciate it.

(I'm trying to help out a friend get Respironics equipment who
can't afford his $1000 insurance deductible...)

Thank You!!!

Strobotach, I'm not aware that anyone here has had success getting even a different manufacturer's USB card reader to work with Encore Pro, although a few folks have posted about trying to do so.

How much less expensive than $30.80 for the 2factors.com reader, postage paid and guaranteed to work, are you trying to go? That's pretty inexpensive in my book.

Regards,
Bill

Also the serial port doesn't need a driver the operating system control it. What you would need is the program to run the reader, and that will only be good for the correct reader. I would put you chances of using a random card reader at zero unless you can write your own programs. However good luck, their's always that one rubber tree and a committed Ant.
