Why I can't delet some data

Post by dougaross » Wed Aug 01, 2012 7:46 am

There is some bad data that I would like to delete. So I went into the DATALOG folder and deleted the appropriate days and re-imported the data. The old data was still there. I tried creating a new user and the old data remained. How do I get ride of this bad data

Please list your equipment and software, maybe even a screen shot of the bad data.
We can't see over there.

ResMed S9 VPAP Adapt
Sleepyhead ver0.2-1

There are six days of data with AHI=0.0. All the other parameters look sort of normal. I would like to remove these days of data since they are 2 months old and distort the information in Records

If your leak data was within the acceptable rate, the data should be good.
Zero events is not a common thing, but it can happen.

we can delete the days from sleepyhead i think, and if you know how, you can delete the dates from your card. but when you put the card back in the machine it will put it back in and unless you delete it every day i think it will show back in sleepyhead. don't worry about it. we all have bad days we want to forget.

Actually the profile seems rather useless for a description of my environment.
Sleepyhead software is listed( also ResMed 4.01.013), ResMed full face mask is listed, and a ResMed S9 VPAP Adapt isn't listed.

Equipment choices in the profile are limited to things that cpap.com sells now or has sold in the past. They don't carry the S9 VPAP Adapt so it won't be there. It is a limitation of the system. For those times we usually just say omit that selection and put the machine used in the comments section.
ResScan software was sold openly until ResMed stopped it sometime around the fall of 2009. So all that cpap.com has to offer in the equipment selection is a link to the old version that they used to sell.

Regarding your original question about removing specific data points. I don't know of any way to do what you want. I suppose you could reset the machine to zero and start fresh with a blank card and a new user profile so the data doesn't get mixed.
Pretty drastic and will affect compliance numbers also.
