Trying to install sleepyhead 0.9.2-1, help!!!
Trying to install sleepyhead 0.9.2-1, help!!!
Okay, I'm trying to install sleepyhead version 0.9.2-1 on my Windows 7 desktop system, and it keeps wanting to pull in new .dll's. They seem to be related to cygwin and something called "Qt" (which I've run into on Linux). Is this normal? Is there something that I should install before installing sleepyhead that supplies all the .dlls' that it needs? I've gone and gotten 3 separate .dlls', and the install is now asking for a 4th (a second Qt one). I'm real nervous about installing separate .dll files off the internet (even though I'm scanning each one with nod32 and malwarebytes), so I'm wondering if there isn't some full package that I can install that would supply all these .dll's, or if I have a bogus copy of version 0.9.2-1 of sleepyhead.
I've tried 3 different copies of this version of sleepyhead, and each one seems to need to the .dll's. The previous version that I installed didn't need the .dll's at install time, so I'll go back to it if I can't get some information here *smile*.
Thanks very much.

I would like to piggyback onto RogerSC's post. I downloaded Sleepyhead v0.9.1. I have Windows Vista (Basic). Each time I open it, it asks me if I want to update it. If I do will I encounter similar problems that RogerSC is experiencing?

Really no help? Seems like a lot of folks have this version of the software installed, can anyone please take a second and give a poor guy a little help *smile*?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You have to run the program as an administrator. Right click the icon, click administrator and then do the update.

Re: Trying to install sleepyhead 0.9.2-1, help!!!
Okay, I got it, I installed a bundle of qtlibs I found that was under "Autoupdate" on sourceforge, then sleepyhead just installed fine after that. I expect that if I had re-installed the previous version and used "auto update" that I would have gotten those installed automatically.
I'm never one for doing it the easy way if I can find a hard way. And I've found that updating frequently doesn't work as well as just uninstalling my current version and installing the new one. In this case, that looks like it would have been the easier path *smile*.
Thanks.

No, you won't have any problems like Roger.merhaba12 wrote:I would like to piggyback onto RogerSC's post. I downloaded Sleepyhead v0.9.1. I have Windows Vista (Basic). Each time I open it, it asks me if I want to update it. If I do will I encounter similar problems that RogerSC is experiencing?
Vista will stop the update as a security thing. Windows 7 does it also.
Next time you get ready to open SleepyHead instead of double clicking mouse to open it put your mouse on the icon and right click the mouse. A menu will pop up and you need to choose "run as administrator" from that menu choice.
Let SleepyHead go ahead and open. It will again look for the update and this time just click okay to allow it or whatever prompt lets the update take place.
This update was a minor update to fix a few little minor bugs. It isn't critical to have it but it is safe to do and won't cause any problems and then the notice to update won't bug you anymore.

Re: Trying to install sleepyhead 0.9.2-1, help!!!
For me, I decided to go with ResScan instead of sleepyhead. Once I got it installed, it was all good except for the fact that it had me at 16 hours per night for the last 2 weeks, instead of 8. I decided that that point to go with ResScan, which displays all my data correctly, and in similar formats, as well.
So it goes.
So it goes.

You can solve that problem fairly simply in SleepyHead when it occurs by scrolling down on the left side to "Sessions" and ticking off the duplicated one.RogerSC wrote:For me, I decided to go with ResScan instead of sleepyhead. Yes, and if having old data on the machine or SD card is of no issue (no longer need to satisfy DME insurance compliance) we found out that resetting the machine data and using a blank SD card we don't even have to turn off the sessions.lazer wrote: You can solve that problem fairly simply in SleepyHead when it occurs by scrolling down on the left side to "Sessions" and ticking off the duplicated one.
The problem occurred when DST change was made.
This issue has been fixed in and will be available with the next update that Mark gives. I think he is trying to fix multiple little bugs with one update.
