F&P Icon Auto and InfoSmart software
Been using the F&P Icon Auto for 2 weeks now, finally got the analysis software last night.
So far, I like the machine a lot and I'm pretty impressed by the software as well. The only thing I noticed is that the (limited) reporting features of the machine itself do not correlate very well with what the analysis software reports. For instance: min 6cmH2O, max 16cmH2O; the device reports a 90% pressure of 18.2cmH2O (?!?) while the software reports (a much more sensible) 90% pressure of 11cmH2O. For the same night, mind you...
In an earlier post, I was wondering about a reported AHI of 25 or so - after looking through the data for every night since I got it, my AHI never went above 10 (two nights ago was the best night so far with an AHI of 4).
So, for all you F&P Icon users out there, if you're confused by what the machine reports, ignore it (especially if it makes no sense) and use that fact as leverage with your DME to get the software...

From my DME. Told him I was a biomedical engineer, former paramedic, and already knew how to change the settings on the system - and they agreed to sell it to me...

Lucky you!
Looks like a great machine but very few seem to be able to get ahold of the efficacy software.

As has been reported numerous times on this forum, the software is available for free as a torrent download. Another member even gave detailed instructions on how to download it. Just do a search on F&P Icon or InfoSmart software.

Re: F&P Icon Auto and InfoSmart software
Three things I've noticed after using my Icon for a month or two:
- there are two sets of data available directly from the machine... "compliance" (the menu with the happy face) and the "30 nights" menu. The "compliance" data never seems to jive with what I can get from the reporting software...whereas the second menu (which shows last night, last 7 days, last 30 days) seems to align nicely. I've always assumed there are some standard rules about "compliance" that change the calculations in ways doctors and insurance companies understand but not the rest of us humans. This is a medical device so the software and its reporting will have been heavily tested...must have made sense to somebody.
- the "last night" data will be a day behind if you look at it in the morning wondering "how did I do last night??". Kinda makes sense to me... it's still morning...you might go back to sleep. I've not been been able to determine when "last night" officially stops.
- both sets of data were a little bizarre in the early going...my guess: the machine didn't have a full 7 and/or 30 days of data for the math and reported garbage numbers rather than "can't compute yet"
Fingers crossed that Sleepyhead for the PC gets Icon support someday... then we will have another frame of reference that may make even more sense.
