Thanks, Sloop, I'd like to take you up on your offer. I've read several posts here on how to rig up a battery, but it was way over my head. Buying two objects sounds manageable, though.
Epworth Sleepiness Scale: 14
Diagnostic study: overall AHI: 0.2 events/hour; overall RDI: 45 events/hour
Titration study: AHI: 6.1; RDI: 27; CPAP pressures: 5-8cm

Not-tired behind my eyes and with a clear, cool head!

Here is the jump-battery

Just Goggle JNC 600 and you'll find all kinds of online outlets for it, including Amazon. When you get the battery, follow instructions for charging it . I would recommend you keep the battery stored indoors, like a laundry room. That will keep the battery from being stressed by cold weather, etc. If you have no need to use it after long periods (several months), just do another charge to top it off.

Here is the Respironics cable
http://www.cpapsupplyusa.com/DC-12-Volt ... 01956.aspx
Again, you can buy it at many places. In fact, it doesn't have to be Respironics as long as the cable connections are the same. This cable will plug directly into the JNC 600 with the "cigarette plug" and then the small connector goes directly into your PR System ONE machine. Just unplug the cable that is currently attached.

In order to maximize your battery use, I would turn off the heated humidifier and just use Passive humidifying for the nights when you have no power.

I said 100%. I use it every night and if I KNOW I am going to nap (sometimes I take medicine that makes me very drowsy, if I think I might fall asleep while reading after I take it, I put my mask on). That being said, I do occasionally nap unintentionally without it on.

Wow, your machines give you stats? My series M must be a bare bones one. When i first got it they showed me where to read off certain compliance/adherence/submission numbers that were calculated based on my use, but i can't decode them. Anyway I chose 85%. Like most other posters here i'm 99-100% at night in bed, but will not use it for a nod off on the couch or something. Thanks to Sloop for the suggestions on battery backup!

Jason -- I have a Series M also for my back-up machine. I am not 100% positive that the 12 VDC connector that plugs into it is the same size as on my PR System One. I will confirm and update here.

Ok - yes, the 12 VDC receptacle on the M Series is identical. However, the Humidifier looks to have it's separate power input (I think it is 120 VAC) so you would be unable to run that during a power outage. Shouldn't be a big deal if you can get by with passive humidification.

I checked 85%, but only because there is nothing between that and 100. I've never used it when napping, but my naps are 100% spontaneous.
I've only missed one night so far, and that was because I had a head cold, and it just didn't work out.

100% compliant, sleep, naps, at home or on vacation.
Thinking of quitting CPAP?

No problem, here's the first thing to do when you quit:

Advanced funeral planning. When you give up CPAP, you'll probably need it.

I could not accurately complete the survey because of two issues:

1. I do not use my APAP for some naps, but naps account for much, much less than 15% of my sleep time.

2. I recently used Provent for a vacation. According to my sleep doctor, that is an appropriate way of managing my OSA during travel, so he would consider me compliant as long as I use either Povent or my APAP. The survey ignores the possibility of using Provent.

I use it only when I am in bed to sleep.
