New To Forum With a problem

Post by Claude » Tue Jul 10, 2012 4:49 pm

Hi All

I'm new to the forum and want to say high from Hampton Roads Virginia. And to also share a problem I'm having with my Cpap mask. I'm using the ResMed Mirage Quattro Full face mask. And trhis is the problem I'm having my mouth is still staying open and causing my mouth to be dry and also causing my nose to stuff up. I really like the mask. Do you all know if I could use a chin strap with a full face cpap mask? Thanks for any help in this matter, I have been on the machine 3 months now.

Hi Claude,

I am a newbie as well and am a nasal pillow user but there has been a few threads about this mask in this forum. Specifically this one

Other suggestions are to raise your humidity to the highest level as the mouth dries out quickly. I hope it helps.

I am also newish at using my sleep items in an actual compliant way (the first time!!!). I am having mouth open/nose not open enough issue too. I use the breathe right strips and thats helped a lot.The mouth still opens but at least the nose it keeping up with it!

I want to thank everyone for there input.I went to the page on taming the Resmed Quattro and tried some of the ideas and it was a lot better sleeping last night no dry mouth this morning. I also have a call into my Doctor. Thanks again all.
